FingerprintsAU is getting ready to launch. This notice covers our pre-launch website and early-access list. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. A full privacy policy will be published when the FingerprintsAU platform opens.

What we collect

• Your email address, when you join the early-access list.
• The date and time you signed up, and the page you signed up from.
• Basic technical data that any website receives, such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting and font providers may log.

We don't ask for your name, phone number or payment details on this site.

How we use it

• To tell you when FingerprintsAU opens, and to send occasional updates about FingerprintsAU.
• To keep the site running and secure.

We never sell your personal information, and we don't share your email with other businesses for their marketing.

Unsubscribing

Every email we send will include a way to unsubscribe, as required by the Spam Act 2003. You can also email [email protected] with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line, and we'll remove you from the list.

Where it's stored

Early-access emails are stored in our Google Workspace account. Our website is hosted by Hostinger, and the page loads fonts from Google Fonts. These providers may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to keep your information secure, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above.

Your choices

• Access or correction: ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
• Deletion: ask us to delete your email from our list at any time.
• Complaints: contact us first. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
